Come on guys.. the search is getting a bit to long now! How about just picking up a nice mono hull and sailing around the Japanese islands. Would love to see that. I’m not in the market for a boat yet.. but I think cats are a bit over rated.

On YT channel "Shaman Adventures" guy in 2024 year bought from original owner a 1992 year Privelege 435 for a ... 100.000$😸. Owner wanted 120k, but dude done some haggle and owner agreed on 100k. And that cat was in good shape and in rare owners version. Meanwhile some broker sells usual version of same model - 2002 Privelege 435 for... 280.000$. To all: ignore catamaran broker company's and try to find owners selling boat. And trade, I mean haggle, don't just agree on prices they name.

Actively watching cat prices since late last year, even the charter market sale prices are dropping (sort of stalled currently due to the summer hype, but will probably fall a bit more before the end of the year) on Leopards and Lagoons (can still even find some 2016 to 2019 powercats in the 40-50' range for under $500k if you're willing to look at former charter boats as well). The last pandemic was just one cause of the huge rush on supply, and now folks are realizing how expensive boats are, and/or have to adjust because of other financial or employment issues. So there is now actually a rather large supply of boats out there, as long as you're not chasing brands, but we all know cats will always be more expensive than a monohull.

I did this year vaccination from flu and The Bug (phizer) and recomend to wear N95 masks during flights and in airports. Whish you well from Ukraine.👍🥂

Ask for detailed pictures and videos from sellers, with a card with current date handwritten in frame. It will save you tens of thousands of dollars in travel costs. If they refuse, THEY ARE HIDING SOMETHING, VERY POSSIBLY...

Inshore fishing boats are the same. They are over prices.

It sounds very much like your hearts are just not in it{ Sailing} any more, if you have the skins to travel by other means, Plane, Train, Automobile, etc. then why not there all much faster right, you have fun enjoy Japan, All the best, Al.

A broker in Queensland told me he and a lot of other brokers are knocking back catamaran listings because sellers have such unrealistic ideas of their boats value..

I decided to build a boat, as I wanted to keep my properties so I'm not in the $1M range but definitely in the $300K range, I made this decision as I want a passive income while I sail away

Any market has 2 sets of idiots. 1). Sellers that think they can sell at the highest possible price, and 2). Buyers that think they can buy the best at the lowest possible price. Both miss out, both lose! If you added up the cost in expenses and time that you have wasted looking for boats over the past 4 years you probably have spent 50% of the boats purchase price. It's akin to driving across town to save 1 cent per litre of fuel. Spend 5 to save 1.

Wonderful video! Sounds like there are just as many misrepresenters, benders of the truth and all round ne'er-do-wells in the boat game as the aircraft game. Recent conversation.."Yeah mate, this Bonanza is as good as the day it was built! As the ad says, got full maintenance records, garmin top range, never an accident and flies straight as an arrow." On inspection..."How come the rudder is a different colour to the photos?" "Ah that, some idiot ran into it and a mate had a spare so I whacked that on, just haven't had time to paint it. Still flies great!" Oh, and 100% go for the Airalo sim. Been using that for some time and it works great. Many, many airline pilots use it.

you guys have been looking for quite some time now! Why don't you look at building your own boat like Nahoa or Delos are doing? You are "wasting" a lot of time and money travelling the world and being disappointed upon viewing! I'm so disappointed for you!!

Great video! I'm only interested in one model of boat but the prices are way to high on everything so I invested my money into precious metals which is doing extremely well. I'm thinking that the market is about to crash really hard and that precious metals will continue to skyrocket at the same time. When that fully takes place, I will purchase my dream boat and sail off into the sunset.

If someone selling a boat materially misrepresents the condition of the boat, as in your example you used of a boat with grossly misstated engine hours, why don’t you reveal these scoundrels? We’d love to see exactly why and how these owners and/or brokers are trying to cheat you and others. Save some poor schmuck the pain and cost of that trip to Tahiti for a fraud.

I hate to say it but, some of that gear you have been lugging around could have been purchased a few times over for what I expect the luggage costs must have been?
